Summer's gone and it's almost time to put the Stang away for the winter. I went on one last road trip for the year over the weekend. Hit up National Trails on Friday for a good day of racing. I ran a new best time of 11.915 @ 121.91MPH with a not so great 1.889 60' time. With someone that could drive I could see the car running 11.60's at least. Or I could just throw some nitrous at it and go for 10's. But that'll have to wait, I'm more interested in making the car run smoother rather than faster at this point. That'll be my winter/spring project.
Here's a fun video. This is what it's like to ride along for a 12.15 @ 121MPH pass.

Hey guys, just a brief update here. There's been a lot going on this year. I bought a house, which is awesome. :) Unfortunately my Stang money now goes to bills. :( I did get some 3" tailpipes installed, which made a huge difference in the sound of my car. I don't go deaf every time I drive it now! :D Next is either Cobra brakes or coil overs...I really need both so it's kind of a tough decision...
We got a lot of work done on Shawn's car recently. The cam(s) install went surprisingly well! He's also added an UltraFlo cat back, Bassani O/R X-Pipe, C&L Plenum, Accufab TB, CAI, and a set of 18" Saleen replicas. The car went on the dyno about 2 weeks ago and made a stout 321ft.lb RWTQ, but only made 261RWHP. I have a youtube video of the dyno posted below.
That's all for now. I'll try to get some new pics up in the next week or so.

Ok, so maybe I lied about the lots of pics thing this summer. I do have a lot of pics from various car shows I went to. I've got one more show to go to on Saturday, then I'm done for the year. My favorite of the summer was the NMRA Ford Nationals at National Trails in Columbus. I towed the car up there with my new Jeep Cherokee and spent the weekend racing. I got a total of 8 runs in, with the best being an 11.97 @ 120.77mph. I still need a lot of work on my launching, that run was with a 1.98 60' time and was actually my 2nd run of the weekend. I improved my 60' over the next several runs with a 1.76 as my best, but I missed 3rd gear on that run.
As far as upgrades that I have planned for the winter, there's a lot I would like to do but I don't think I can afford any of it. The next upgrade I'm 90% sure will be coil over springs on the front. Beyond that, I'll just have to wait and see what I can afford.
Here's my videos from the drag strip

12.46 Definetely watch this one!

Oh yeah, we also completed a 5.4L swap in Shawn's '00 GT a couple weeks ago. We did it all in one weekend, and Shawn drove it 140 miles home right after we got it running. Check out Shawn's gallery for all the pics and a video or two. In a month or so we will be installing a set of VT Stage 1 cams in the car, then it's off to the dyno!

Yes, this is an actual update! :O In the last month I've finally got back into the car and even worked on it some. After a couple months of searching I finally found a Cobra rear bumper, painted it myself, and installed it. I then installed a set of subframe connectors and adjustable rear lower control arms, along with a set of Mickey Thompson 315/35 ET Street drag radials! I have to really try to spin these tires now. Next on my list is Cobra front brakes, then I need to build up the rear end. I also want to install coil-overs, but I don't when my budget will allow for that.
I went to my first car show of the year over the weekend! It started out great, but the rain started after about 2 hours and never let up all day. There ended up being around 90 cars registered, so it was still a pretty decent show. I have pics from the show here, Jugfest 07. I also have a few new pics of my car and my new bumper in the Latest Images section. Now that summer's here, check back often because I plan on taking lots of pics and videos this year!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I've been lazy. Anyways, I've been to a bunch of car shows in the last month so I have a bunch of new pics in the gallery. The biggest and best one was the NMRA event at National Trail Raceway earlier this month. I drove the car up there, about 340 miles total, entered the car show two days in a row bringing home the Best 94-98 Mustang award on Sunday, made a couple passes on the track, and entered a burnout contest! This made for a very fun weekend, except for the burnt rubber smell that's still in my car. Of course I have videos for you all to enjoy! ;)
My first run down the 1/4 resulted in a horrible launch and a 12.40@119mph run. My second run was a slightly better 2.114 60' time resulting in a 12.20@120mph. Not bad on street tires, but I was hoping for 11's. So now Im saving for a new differential and 31-spline axles, some drag radials, and a couple little things to give me a few extra HP. ;) I think Im going to put my parts buying on hold until after New Years, so you'll have to wait untill then to see what I have planned...

My burnout
In sad news, my car was rear-ended a week ago. The damage is not that bad, but I need a new bumper cover and a new tire. I should have it fixed in a couple weeks.

Welcome to my new domain! I've moved my site to a new server so it should be a LOT faster. I've also added a user gallery where anyone can register and upload pics. Currently, each user is limited to 75mb of space, but if you want more click on the Paypal Donate button at the bottom of this page. :) The forums are a new addition as well, join up and start post whoring!
As for my car, I think I've located the source of the vibration. As soon as I receive my adjustable upper control arms I'll know for sure. The miss still isn't fixed, but I've been working on it the last couple weeks. In fact, Im going to go work on that in a few minutes. :)

My car is in the August issue of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords magazine! It's in the Showcase section on page 206, check it out!!
I havn't done much with the car lately other than driving it. I had a rocker come loose a couple weeks ago so I finally decided to readjust all of the rockers. It seems to be running a little better now. I also got my rev limiter working so hopefully that wont happen again ;). I still need to work on fixing the vibration around 80mph, and I have an intermittent miss I need to track down. I will have the car finished one of these days...

After 3 or 4 straight weeks of working on installing my QA1 K-Member and TKO 600 trans, I'm finally just about finished! Just need to fix a small vibration at 80-90mph and I'll be done. Anyways, I took the car up to Dyno Tune Motorsports in Columbus over the weekend. Im very happy with the HP numbers, but just a little dissappointed with the TQ numbers. I was expecting about 440RWHP/475RWTQ(hoping for more, of course), and I ended up with 449.4RWHP/463RWTQ. It hit 457RWHP on one run, but the torque curve was not accurate so I can't really use those numbers. However, I do believe 460/470 is possible with a few simple tweaks.
I have a pic of the dyno sheet here, Dyno
And here's two vids of my car on the dyno

Just a brief update, nothing really new going on since my last update. I did fix my starting problem with a 2/0 welding cable directly from the battery to the starter, and a 4ga ground wire directly to the starter. I'll be ordering a TKO 600, along with some other goodies, in hopefully a week or two. Look for my next update to be towards the end of March, hopefully with a dyno graph if all goes as planned.

Nothing much going on lately...I havn't made it to the dyno or track yet. I havn't been driving the stang much lately because I'm having a charging problem with it. I've given up on fixing a lot of problems this year, but it will be tuned and ready to go by the time spring rolls around next year.
In an effort to save some money on gas, I traded in my 04 Ranger for an 06 Mazda 3. This car is a blast to drive, although a little under powered, and Im getting around 30-33 MPG consistently. I really don't like the current new car market because I could not find a RWD car rated for 30+MPG. The closest one is a BMW 3-Series that starts at $30K. Anyways, I've got some new pics in the gallery, and a nice burnout vid you can download with the link below.

The car is back on the road and running better than ever! I bumped the timing up and it feels like I picked up about 30HP. Unfortunately, the dyno didn't work out. I may be putting it on there this tuesday, but I doubt it. Based on how it runs compared to my friends 427W Mustang, Im guessing that Im right around 450RWHP and 480RWTQ.
Im working on getting pics uploaded from both the WSCC show and todays show at the Sternwheel festival. I've got close to 200 pics between the two events, so check back later this week and hopefully I'll them on the gallery page.

I broke the stock T-5 two weeks ago. At least the engine still seems to be running good! Im at just over 400 miles on it. I've got a replacement T-5 on the way, and hopefully I can make it to the big car show at Washington State Community College this weekend. Im gonna try to put it on the dyno there if I make it. Check back next week for my RWHP/RWTQ numbers!
I've also added to my gallery. I now have pics from the local cruise-in's at the Jug and the All Ford show I went to about a month ago.

Im up to 200 miles on the new engine so far! I've got a few issues with it, but I think a tune will fix them all. It's getting hot in traffic, and it will pop sometimes in the upper RPM's when accellerating hard. I'm thinking it's just running too lean. An adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator should help out until I can get it tuned. I still have my oil leak, but Im gonna wait til I get the starter out of the way to try to fix it. It still might be a while before I can afford to buy more parts, so donations will be gladly accepted. :)
I changed the site layout around a little and added a couple new galleries. Mainly I just switched the entire site over to using iframes for the content because it's much easier to make changes that way. If you're having trouble viewing the site, install Firefox.
I have two new videos online
Video 1Just messing around in the parking lot.
Video 2An easy 3rd to 4th run. Can you tell when I really hammer it for a second? ;)
Be sure to check out my gallery for some new pics! Also check out www.movealongsir.com now that it's finally(!) up and running! Later.

Massive update time! I've uploaded all of my 418 pics to the gallery! The car now runs, and it's completely awesome! Going from 35 to 70 in 4th gear takes about 3 seconds now. :-) I have a pretty bad oil leak from the oil pan gasket, probably from over-tightening it, and the stock starter has pretty much given up. After I fix those two problems and install an MSD ignition, I'll put it on the dyno and get it tuned. If my stock T-5 holds up, Im gonna try to make at least one trip to the drag strip this summer. Plans for this fall/winter include a Tremec 600 5-speed, tubular K-Member and coil-overs, and hopefully some 31-spline axles.
I also have a sound clip of the car here - Video
